Mt. Makalu (8485 metres), the fifth highest mountain in the world, was first climbed on the spring of 1954 by an American team led by William Siri. Since then, tons of mountaineers and climbers have been there to reach at the top of one of the highest peaks of the world. The Makalu Base Camp, on the shadow of Mt. Makalu is now an adventurous trekking destination for travelers, that also offers the closeness to the Mt. Everest. Feasibility for Makalu Base Camp Trek

Best Seasons: Fall, Spring (September, October, November, March, April, May)

Fitness: Good physical fitness, accompanied by some exercises couple of months prior the trip

Difficulties?: Proper acclimatization is required in order to avoid altitude sickness.

Day 4:Trek Chichila to Num (1600m), 6-7 hrs trek

Day 5:Trek Num to Sedua (1,500M), 6-7 hrs trek

Day 6:Trek Seduwa to Tashigaon (2,100m), 4-5 hrs trek

Day 7:Trek Tashigaon to Khongma Danda (3,500m), 5-6 hrs trek

Day 8:Acclimatization day (Rest)

Day 9:Trek Khongma Danda to Dobate, 6-7 hrs treks

Day 10:Trek Dobate to Yangri Kharka (3,557m), 6-7 hours trek

Day 11:Trek Yangri Kharka to Langmale Kharka (4,400m), 5-6 hrs trek

Day 12:Trek Langmale Kharka to Makalu Base Camp: (4,800m), 6-7 hrs trek
