Lower Dolpo trek is a remote Himalayan region trek brightened up by the beautiful Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Kanjiroba and many more mountain ranges. The trek allows travelers to gather true experience of off- the- beaten- path trek within the shadow of Himalayas. The lifestyle, language, costumes and traditions there are highly similar to the Western Tibetan culture. The peaceful, yet mysterious Dolpo is an exemplary representation of richness in natural and cultural aspects.

Lower Dolpo consists of rare and useful medicinal herbs which have huge significance in human life. Yarsagumba, also known as Cordyceps, a parasitic organism, well- known for its benefits in clinical and household remedy is the specialty of the Dolpo region. Most people spend their summer in the hunt for Yarsagumba which yields a handsome amount of money for their livelihood. Its essence is immense to strengthen immune system, control any kind of weaknesses and protect human body from abnormalities. The caravans of yak and sheep are also found widely around the trade route of Tibet where daily goods and cultural values are exchanged everyday.

The major highlight of this trek is the Shey Phoksundo National Park, the largest and the only Trans- Himalayan national park in Nepal.
